On September 19th/20th, among the many cyclists who made their way to Callaway Gardens for the huge “Bike MS” fund-raising cycling event in Georgia, Atlanta’s own Team Shepherd headed down to participate in the biking extravaganza set to raise thousands of dollars to help those living with Multiple Sclerosis. Every mile the cyclists ride and every dollar raised make a difference to the 2.3 million people living with MS.
Environ’s own Dawn and Terry joined the Shepherd Team (for their 6th year) and raised close to $2500!!! Dawn was one of the Top Ten fundraisers in the Team Shepherd Group. Environs also sponsored the Shepherd Team Group (see thank you letter, right).
The Shepherd Center, on Peachtree Road in Buckhead Atlanta, is a private, not-for-profit hospital specializing in medical treatment, research and rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injury and brain injury. They pull their own team together every year to enjoy and share the experience of a great ride and help the National MS Society fund research, advocate for change and help people with MS live their best lives. The Shepherd Center has the Andrew C. Carlos MS Institute focusing on the needs of MS patients.
